ROBERT SARRASIN

Hello, my name is Robert Sarrasin. I am the owner of Waldenway Canine and Kitty Camp.
I started working at Waldenway when I was 13 years old. I started out helping with chores, feeding, and caring for the dogs.

After I completed high school I attended a grooming school in London, Ontario over the summer. I came back to work at Waldenway as a full time groomer all while still caring for the boarding dogs and cats. I eventually started taking on more responsibilities such as maintenance of the kennels and grounds and dealing with clients.

In July 2001, I purchased Waldenway Canine and Kitty Camp from the founder Gloria Delorme and since then have been working towards continuously improving Waldenway year after year.

ALIYAH

Hello! My name is Aliyah and this is my horse Mystique. I started at Waldenway as a volunteer in 2012 and became a part of the staff in the spring of 2013.

Working here has taught me quite a lot and has been a wonderful experience! My main jobs here are to feed the animals, make sure everything is clean and tidy, and interact with customers in the office. I also help to train the new staff members. Ever since I was little, I’ve had pets of my own; a couple dogs, cats and some horses! When I’m not working at Waldenway, I enjoy riding my horse, spending time with my 2 pups, or travelling with my best friend. In the future, I’d like to have a career that involves travelling and horses as they are both huge passions of mine! I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!!

JESSICA HEWKO

Hi! My name is Jessica and my love for animals, big and small, started at a young age. Growing up, I had everything from ladybugs in a jar to squirrels I would try to sneak in the house. So naturally, I was just destined to work with animals. I first began working part-time at a boarding facility in 2011 where I was promoted to a full time assistant manager.

I have done everything from handling customers and phones, managing the website, and paperwork to feeding and cleaning. I also have veterinary training in medication administration and how to react in a situation if a pet gets injured. My initial dream was to become a Veterinary Technician but that changed two years ago when my true passion came out after being a groomer’s assistant. I began grooming family, friends, and friends of friends pets as a side hobby because I just couldn’t get enough of it. In January 2015 I turned that hobby into my now career here at Waldenway. I am confident to say that I am experienced in the aspect of all-breed pet grooming. I absolutely love everything about grooming but what I enjoy most is the sense of freedom and creativity that comes along with it. I am artistic and creative which I believe contributes to my passion and keen eye for details when it comes to grooming and making your pet look even cuter than before! Hope to see you and your pets soon!

VALERIE

Hello my name is Valerie, I have started working at Waldenway in mid May 2013.

Ever since I was a little girl I have always had a strong love for animals. As the years went by we moved on a bigger property and it permitted me to fulfill my dream of owning horses along with dogs and cats. Animals have always been a big part of my life ever since.

As it is my last year of high school, I have decided to follow the Veterinary Assistant program once I graduate. It is such a privilege to be working at Waldenway as it has given me so much more knowledge about animals and their needs. I love working at Waldenway and seeing all the different dogs & cats come in. I hope to see you and your pet and give them lots of cuddles!
