What to Expect

cat-kennel-winnipeg

...Good meals, lots of love, exercise and all the bird watching your kitty can handle…all day, every day.

Before Your Stay

You are welcome to send along anything you’d like, although you don’t have to send anything at all. Every cat and kitten are comforted by the smell of home – so please feel free to send along your pet’s bed, favourite blanket, or even your slipper! We also recommend you send your cat’s food from home. It’s easier on their stomachs to have something they’re already used to.

For our kitty campers, we require every camper is vaccinated with the FVRCPC vaccine as well as the Rabies vaccine. Our campers’ health and safety are our top priorities. Having your pet vaccinated helps us ensure the safety of your pet and our campers.

During Your Stay

Each and every individual kitty and kitten bunkhouse is equipped with a personal window (including bird feeders outdoors for bird watching throughout the day), multiple shelving and heights to explore, tennis balls to bat and carpet to scratch! Our kitty and kitten campers even have their very own fish tank, centered in our cat cabin to further stimulate them during their stay.

Meal times and feeding schedules here at Camp are entirely as you instruct us to make them. No request is too bizarre! For in-between meals, and bird watching, know that every camper in our kitty boarding and kenneling facility receives lots of love and attention throughout the day. Good meals, lots of love, exercise and all the bird watching your kitty can handle…all day, every day.

Missing your fur-kid? No worries! Our staff at Waldenway would be delighted to provide you with an update and pictures upon request. You can contact us through email, text or social media!

Highly recommend this place for the kitties. They have a separate building for the cats, each kennel has a window for entertainment, and there's lots of vertical space.

Extra Play Times

If your kitty needs some extra loving, add in some playtime sessions to their camp stay! These one-on-one sessions with a staff member can be done as often as you’d like! We offer a variety of activities which are on top of the 4×20 minute play times and are an additional cost. These sessions can be done as a 15 or 30-minute session. We had such an amazing experience with Waldenway! We boarded our two cats and one puppy while in the middle of moving and the staff went out of their way to help us with everything, including a shuttle ride up to the airport where our driver stayed to help us get settled. They made it so easy and stress-free. Our puppy came back clean, fluffy and spoiled with love. Thanks to all the wonderful staff here, so appreciated!

FAQ's

HOW SOON IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY PET IN?
As we tend to fully book on holidays, weekends and special events through the year, we simply recommend you book your loved ones in for boarding as soon as you know your dates. If you do need to cancel, we ask that you inform us. We would like to allow other kitty campers to have a chance to board with us.

CAN MY CAT PLAY WITH OTHER CATS?
If your cat is sociable or loves to interact with others, pair up is the option for your fur baby! During their camp stay, your furry companion will be found a suitable playmate and given the chance to interact with new friends, daily.

MY CAT IS ON MEDICATION, WILL THAT BE AN ISSUE?
Your cat’s health and comfort are important to us. If your beloved pet happens to be on medication, that is certainly no issue. From insulin to daily vitamins, and everything in between. We will administer any type of medication necessary, at no additional cost. See our Special Needs Pet Boarding page for more information.

MY CAT IS FED SPECIAL FOOD, WILL THIS HAVE TO CHANGE WHILE AT YOUR KENNEL?
Nothing, ever, has to change while your beloved pet is camping with us. Our facility includes a fridge, freezer, and microwave for all of your cat's special needs when it comes to feedings. Supply us with all of your kitty’s necessities and we will ensure your cats have the comfort of home, away from home.

IF I HAVE MULTIPLE CATS, CAN THEY STAY TOGETHER?
Absolutely! Your furry pet family is more than welcome to bunk together.
